UPES Legal Studies Aptitude Test
The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun conducts the UPES Legal Studies Aptitude Test commonly known as ULSAT for admissions to its five-year undergraduate law programmes including BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB. Generally, the ULSAT is conducted mid of May.
ULSAT Admission Procedure
For admission to the College of Legal Studies, UPES, the candidates are required to qualify the ULSATwhich is followed by a Group Discussion and Interview. The final merit list of the candidate selected thorough ULSAT is based upon the written test, group discussion and the interview.
However, for candidates who have appeared for CLAT/LSAT-India are exempted from taking the admission test of UPES. Moreover, those candidates who have secured 85% marks in their 10+2/12th Board Exams are also exempted from taking the ULSAT. Those candidates who fall under the non-entrance category are directly shortlisted and called for the Group Discussion and the Interview.
ULSAT Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must successfully complete their 10+2/class 12/other equivalent examination, scoring a minimum of 50% marks.

ULSAT Exam Pattern
The ULSAT is held in May second / third week. The test is offered in online mode for 2 hours duration comprising a total of 150 questions with no negative marking. The ULSAT question paper cover five sections namely Language Comprehension, Quantitative and Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude.
