Ayurveda Education in Uttarakhand

Ayurveda, an ancient method which evolved around 600 B.C in India. The word Ayurveda originated from a Sanskrit word, 'Ayur' meaning Life and 'Veda' meaning Knowledge. Eligibility

For under graduate programme admission: 10+2 (Science) with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Admission to BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) in Uttarakhand is done through entrance test. 

Students interested in postgraduate studies can opt for specialization from various area of Ayurvedic studies. Some of the popular specializations are Kaya Chikitsa, Panchakarssa, Drayyaguna, Salya, Salyaka and Prasutitantra, Rasasatra and Kshar Sutra. Apart from MD specialization you can also go for PG Diploma programmes and research programmes like Ph.D etc.

Ayurvedic practitioners can opt to practice across the country and carry out surgical procedures for curing various ailments and diseases. Ayurvedic medicines are rapidly gaining acceptance worldwide.
